Mike Williamson Validation is the professional blog of Mike Williamson. Mike was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and was valedictorian at the private North Bay Orinda School. Mike earned a degree in Physics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. His first job out of school was at a software company that focused on data analysis for environmental and physical scientists. After the dot-com crash of 2000, Mike followed his parent’s footsteps into the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and has worked with such industry leaders as Bayer Healthcare, Amgen, and Genentech.
In his 10+ year career, Mike has been involved in the commissioning, qualification, and validation of numerous facilities, systems, equipment, and processes including: bioreactors, autoclaves, chromatography, RO/DI, clean steam, WFI, N2, CDA, glycol, waste neutralization, CIP, COP, SIP, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, DCS, MCS, SQL*LIMs, HVAC, cold rooms, freezers, labelers, cartoners, vision systems, etc.
Mike augments his CQV experience with a strong interest in data analysis. Mike is a certified Microsoft Access Database Management System Guru from the well-known technology knowledge base experts-exchange.com. Mike has a passion for interface design for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
